| Just a short CLAMP mention in today's ICv2 interview with Dark Horse CEO, Mike Richardson. (Click for full article).
A. ......We were attempting to work with the creators, which is the same way we’ve attempted to work in the past in the United States. That’s what I mean when I say we were trying to be creator-specific as opposed to genre-specific with regard to the shojo.
As far as the coming year we’ll probably be more in that area then we’ve ever been because we’ve made a deal with Clamp, probably the premier manga and anime group in Japan, the group of women who create these books that are the basis for so much animation and so much printed content.
Q: You’re doing some omnibuses, right? And you have an art book coming out? A. Yeah, we’re doing omnibuses, we have a variety of projects coming from them and we have some surprises coming in. | comments: 4 comments or Leave a comment |

| The other day I was checking an Animedia from 2006 and there was a sheet full of pictures by different authors to celebrate Animedia's 25th anniversary. Among those pics, there was one of Sakura and Syaoran drawn by CLAMP, so I scanned it. ( Under the cut! ) | comments: 10 comments or Leave a comment |
| Hi all,
I'm looking to buy the Japanese manga of CCS volumes 1-6. Does anyone have copies in good/excellent condition they want to sell? I thought I'd check here first and see if I can maybe help someone out before searching elsewhere.
I could also trade. I have the very first English-translated volumes 1-6 published by TOKYOPOP, the smaller Chixx Comix versions (kind of rare now, I think--or not, I dunno). I'd also be willing to sell those at a good price; make me an offer.
Let me know! Thanks. :) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Here's the cover of Kobato. Volume 4. It will be out December 26th.
Kobato.tv also added a new splash and wallpaper.
And for those who will be able to buy Kobato. DVDs in Japan, there are extra gifts if you buy them in these stores:
Animate: playing card with each volume, playing card case when you buy all of them. Aniburo: original microfiber towel with the first 6 volumes Chara-ani: original mini-cushion set with the first 4 volumes, original desk calendar with volumes 5-8, original telephone card with volumes 9-12.
And the Kobato. museum and panel exhibit will be traveling to other Animate stores around the country. Check out the schedule on their blog. | comments: Leave a comment |

I play Yue/Yukito, and we have a Touya and a Sakura. I would just about die for a Cerberus or Ruby Moon, or, well, anyone. (Just keep in mind that it's not the most cheerful of settings, and someone like Tomoyo would...not do well. ^^;) | comments: Leave a comment |
| Here's the cover to the upcoming CLAMP in America book from Del Rey. Many online comic book retailers have it listed for a February 24th release. | comments: 11 comments or Leave a comment |
| Howdy, howdy, folks. I'm with Turtle Paradise Scanlations, and we'll be hosting a "12 days of doujinshi" event this holiday season where we'll be releasing one doujinshi a day up until December 25, from series such as Final Fantasy, Slayers, and, you guessed it, Cardcaptor Sakura. The only problem is, we're running kind of low on doujinshi; that's where (hopefully) you all come in.
We're looking for submissions of Cardcaptor Sakura doujinshi that you'd like to see translated. The pages must be at least 1200px in height, high-quality, and preferably unleveled, though exceptions can be made. As we'll only be looking for about 2 or 3 doujinshi from CCS max, some submissions may be turned down for silly reasons, such as art style, content, or (gasp) pairing preferences. It's all very arbitrary, and I apologize for that.
If you have any doujinshi you'd like to put up for consideration, please either reply here with a the zipped pages, or email me at rebmastu@gmail.com. Thanks, and I'll see you this Christmas! | comments: Leave a comment |
| Here at my journal you can find the translation of Clamp's comments about each picture that has been featured in the latest Album de Reproductions. Feel free to have a look. <3 ( I know that there was to be no more separate posts about the TRC stuff they published in November, but I figured it was rather difficult to find my link in a comment to one of the older previous entries, so I decided to post it here like that. Sorry about that. ^^' ) | comments: Leave a comment |
